August Update

As you see we’ve had some big changes around here. I had initially shut the website down since I didn’t have a lot of extra time with my own blog and business, but after taking off for the Summer I came to realize it was quite difficult for us not to have a place to congregate. After bringing the site back, I just knew we had to come back with a boom, and so a total re-brand was in order. I really wanted us to have a site that was easy to navigate, simple, professional, yet still had a handmade look that represents women from all over the world coming up with creations in their homes.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what we can do with the club, to grow it, make it fun, yet still stay true to the countries we’re representing. For the last two years we would have a host that chose the recipes for each country, and to be honest with you at times it was a struggle. I mean I get it if you’ve never been to the Middle East you probably have no idea if the recipe is true or not, heck I wouldn’t know myself if I didn’t live here. On top of that sometimes it was hard to get a hold of the host for the month to even get the recipes. So it’s just easier to do away with that system.

However, I still want to have everyone contribute, that’s the fun of a club after all. I thought maybe everyone could choose a secret ingredient and each month when the country and recipes are up we all have to use that one ingredient in the recipe. Then each one of you would get a shout out and a link back to your blog. So all members think about a secret ingredient and send yours over, I will be sure to update you in the newsletter when we use yours.

If you’re not a member of the club yet, then please do so now, we have a lot of fun and it’s super simple. All you have to do is contact me with your name and blog link and I will send the information over. It doesn’t matter what your sex, race or religion is. Actually the more diverse we are, the better. It’s just nice to have some light shown on these handful of counties and to learn as we go along. I can’t tell you how much I’ve learned from this experience and the nice friends I’ve made along the way too.

So there you have it, that’s about it for this update! I hope you’re all well and had an awesome summer. Until next time..
