Joanne F. went with the Kuwaiti sweet recipe this month in the MENA Cooking Club. Joanna loves the Middle East and all of it’s flavors so this cake was right up her alley. She took a different approach replacing the saffron with sumac and her cake looks absolutely gorgeous.

    beautiful styling joanne and i’m intrigued by the sumac i’m sure the citrus notes worked well along with the cardamom in this cake.

    I am sure the cake with sumac must have really very nice. Must try this cake again with this variation.
